 PILOTHOUSE

The raised Pilothouse is in the centre and is in many ways the focal point of the vessel while passage-making, with settee benches on both sides and a full complement of instruments forward over the companionway.  Tinted Plexiglas windows provide protection from foul weather, while four overhead Bowmar hatches and a front-opening Lewmar hatch, give “flow-through” ventilation in fair weather  Two LED lights provide illumination for reading or lounging after sunset.

COCKPIT

The large aft cockpit has bench seating on both sides.  The seats also open to provide standup access to the engine room.  Twin helms are at the back of the cockpit and give comfortable visibility for the helmsman when sailing to weather.  Winches for running rigging are easily accessed from the cockpit.

  LAZARETTE

The huge Lazarette has two 30-inch Bowmar hatches for access.  Port side is a dedicated vented compartment for propane and gasoline (dinghy fuel) with extra storage underneath.  On the starboard side there is easy and comfortable access to the NL generator set, steering systems, water maker, etc.  The extensive spare parts for all machinery are stored conveniently in this Lazarette and in the aft engine room.

STERN

The full width “sugar scoop” transom offers easy access to and from the water along with a handy fold-up swim ladder.  A convenient hot/cold water shower allows quick rinse offs after swimming.  The 8-man life raft is built into the stern pulpit and is easily launched from a unique holder.  There is a Dinghy Lift platform powered by 12 volts through the ship’s batteries, which when lowered also becomes a sociable swim platform once the dinghy is launched.
